Impact maintenance in Villa Clara during 2020

Despite the objective limitations presented in recent months with the proliferation of the Covid 19 pandemic in the country and with great incidence in the province, the maintenance carried out by our Villa Clara Aqueduct and Sewer company has had a positive impact on the population. , framed in:

  • Improvements in the services of the Health and Education Centers, with a greater incidence in those that constitute isolation centers.
  • Solution to all the approaches included in the 2020 Economy plan, which translates into service improvements, loss reduction, network rehabilitation, new facilities and elimination of sewage dumping into the environment.
  • Resolved 1,650 proposals of 1,921 corresponding to Mandate XVII, for an 82% solution, leaving 180 with expressed cause of non-solution and pending 91 proposals.
  • Attention to the proposals by dispatch, of a total of 302 solutions have been given to 151 for a 50% mostly captured in recent months, leaving 26 with expressed cause of non-solution and 125 pending in which work will continue.
  • Achievement of service stability for 60% of the population in Santa Clara with the rehabilitation of the Plamarito Conductor.
  • More than 300 people benefited, who stopped receiving service through tank cars and were coupled within the water distribution cycles through networks, this is the case of the Cambaito town in Caibarién, which currently has a 1.8km conductor and its two Sectors receive service on alternate days. In the same way, the supply cycles improved and the distribution through tank cars decreased in Mataguá, a town in Manicaragua, where sections of the conduit, the pumping station were rehabilitated, maintenance of the hydraulic networks was provided, handling and pitometric studies were carried out, all of which reverts in supply improvements and therefore in an efficient service.
  • Rehabilitation work at the Ochoita water treatment plant, which guarantees water quality for 30% of the population in the provincial capital.

The rehabilitation of the La Bayoya water treatment plant has been completed, improving the quality of service to 7,000 people in the Air Base community in Santa Clara.
