In recent weeks, several were the streets of the territory in which it was difficult for passers-by to perceive the asphalt. In its place, large pools of sewage water took over the space, bringing with them not only stench and discomfort in the transfer, but also polluting sources at times when proper hygiene is a priority.

According to directors of the territorial delegation of Hydraulic Resources, the overflow of the so-called sewage in different parts of the Municipality was caused by ruptures in the pumps of the equipment used for unblocking, since there are not here the necessary resources for their removal. repair and palliative solutions have been resorted to, which do not always work.

However, today the panorama is different, although these discharges have not been completely eliminated, the joint work of Aqueduct operators and a group of workers from the Basic Sanitation Company of Havana have managed to mitigate the problem, which reached worrisome proportions for residents and local authorities.

The capital brigade - also made up of mechanics from the Aguas de La Habana workshop - arrived in this island with a specialized high voltage truck and in just under a week has contributed to solve the obstructions in the popular councils of Abel Santamaría, Pueblo Nuevo and Industrial Construction.

In addition, their actions together with mechanics from the Public Omnibus Company put into operation the truck of the Pinera Integral Hydraulic Resources Company, so work will continue in other areas such as La Fe and Argelia Libre.
