After the footprint that Covid-19 has marked on a global scale, Cuba does not escape the restrictions generated by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the tightening of the blockade imposed by the United States.

Even with these limitations, the Los Cocos de Confluente district is favored by the development of the hydraulic infrastructure rehabilitation program carried out by INRH with the aim of providing potable water service to all households.

In this distribution located on the periphery of the city of Guantánamo, the Los Confluentes distribution networks are executed within the central conductor, under the command of Oscar Hodelin Pérez, Brigade Chief of the UEB of Guantánamo belonging to the Maintenance and Rehabilitation Company of Obras Hidráulicas Oriente (HIDROCONS).

For the execution of the work, the DN 250 mm PN-6 High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is used, which is derived from the 630mm main conduit that supplies a large part of the city of Guantánamo and has the dam as a supply tributary. Faustino Pérez, built primarily for the regulation of the Guaso river that rises in the mountains of the municipality of Yateras.

With the work carried out, around 5 655 inhabitants and the state entities of this territory benefit, as stated by Oreales de Los Reyes López, project and engineering specialist B in an interview.
